Tied to our famous razor sharp Fang pattern for unrivalled hooking, and ready to fish with straight from the packet. Each packet of Hatch 1 Bugs contains a Damsel Fly, Daddy Long Legs and Black Sedge. Available in micro barbed and barbless.
Damsel Fly
Damsel Flies are found close to the margins or on the surface. Colours vary, but the one most frequently found in the UK is the Common Blue Damsel Fly so it’s no coincidence this pattern was found to be the most effective during trials.
Daddy Long Legs
A hugely successful pattern that was found to be mega effective in clear water. Although the Daddy Long Legs (or Crane Fly) is most abundant during the autumn, in its Zig Bug form it was found to catch carp all year round.
Black Sedge
Hugely popular with trout and grayling anglers, the Black Sedge fly (also known as the Caddis Fly) is a small moth like fly. We have found Sedges to work particularly well on moonlit nights, perhaps reflecting when the adults lay their eggs, so make sure you have got Sedges on for a full moon.
